EFFILUX powerful and configurable ring light EFFI-RING for machine vision applications.

EFFI-Ring is a high power adjustable ring light with interchangeable diffusers and an adjustable lens position offering multiple possible configurations.

It meets the major needs of manufacturers with its mechanical accessories, making it easy to mount it on the end of a robotic arm, or to attach a camera. It is perfectly suited for pick & place or robot guidance applications, as well as any wide field of view inspection.

  • Flexibility in the choice of diffuser and emission angle (from 90° to 10°) to find the right compromise between power, lighted area and uniformity.
  • Integrated driver with Auto-Strobe function which automatically increases power by 700% in overdrive mode, compared to continuous mode.
  • Robust design IP65 for applications in complex environments.
  • Hole camera of 58mm, compatible with most lenses.

The optical accessory Polarizer eliminates glare caused by the lighting on parts to control. The camera can then analyze the part, without being disturbed by the glow effects.

The classic polarizer is not suitable for use in continuous mode and / or with blue LEDs.
Please note that with the polarizer accessory, the EFFI-Ring is IP50. For IP65 polarized version, choose -POL-IP option (polarizer directly glued on a transparent window).

- EFFI-Ring -

Four tapped holes for M4 screws and four non-tapped holes for M3 screws can be used to secure the device.
EFFI-Ring is compatible with the majority of standard cameras thanks to its fixing accessory.
EFFI-Ring is a waterproof product IP65. To keep the product watertight after dismantling, replace the gaskets as they were originally when reassembling them.

M8 and M12 connector on the EFFI-RING

The EFFI-RING in its classic use requires 24V DC input power via an M12 – 5 pins connector. Note the trigger pin needs to be connected either to the 24V DC signal for Continuous mode or to a PNP Trigger signal for Overdrive strobe mode.

Standard mode: M12 - Auto-Strobe (see previous section)
Expert mode: M8 - direct control

Thanks to its double connection, it is also possible to control the EFFI-Ring directly by current via the M8-4pins connector. Please refer to the datasheet for this specific operating mode.

In expert mode, the LEDs are powered directly, there is no protection. The maximum current defined in the documentation for a given frequency and pulse time cannot be exceeded.

> Option: -STR version

The -STR version of the EFFI-Ring has been optimized (response time) for use of the product only in expert mode (via M8 connector).
