The protection index (IP) is an international standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission relating to sealing. This index classifies the level of protection offered by a material against the intrusion of solid and liquid bodies. The index format, given by standard IEC 60529, is IPXX where XX are two digits and / or a letter.

On request, EFFILUX can design waterproof lights.
As a manufacturer of lighting always concerned about the safety of its customers, EFFILUX relies on the standard EN 62471: 2008, Photobiological safety of LED lighting and devices using LED lighting.
This standard allows classification of LED lighting according to risk groups.
In the event of direct, repeated and high-power exposure, blue light can cause damage to the eye: toxic effect on the retina, aggravating effect of macular degeneration, glare. These risks are all the more important for children because of their greater sensitivity to blue light.
This is why as a manufacturer of LED lights, EFFILUX must inform its customers of the existence of these risks, even if they are minimal for normal use of its LED lights.
The standard on photo-biological safety of LED lighting EN 62471: 2008 provides a methodology for risk measurement and classification.
It is important to emphasize that the level of risk is partly related to the distance between the light source and the eye. The level of risk is also linked to an exposure time. Other factors affecting the level of risk are the light output and the shape of the beam.
On request, EFFILUX can provide a certificate of maximum risk level for its LED lighting.
Whatever the level of risk of the lamp, we recommend that you never look directly at a switched on light and avoid directing the beam of light into the eyes of another person.
EFFILUX attaches great importance to the quality of its products.
Guarantee period: EFFILUX products benefit from a 2-year guarantee (one year for light intensity) from the date of shipment of the product by Effilux.
